Ari Matusiak
Founding Partner
Ari has built a career building and leading scaled impact ventures and organizations across the for-profit, nonprofit and public sectors. In addition to PVG, Ari is the co-founder and CEO of Rewiring America, a PVG incubated, fast-growing nonprofit working to launch the movement that electrifies everything. Ari served in the Obama White House as Special Assistant to the President and Director of Private Sector Engagement, where he focused on economic policy related to jobs and competitiveness and oversaw the relationship between the Administration and the private sector. His high growth venture experience includes his time as Chief Strategy Officer at Renovate America, which was the largest residential renewable energy and financing platform in the U.S. at the time, financing $3.5 billion of improvements across 150,000 homes. Earlier in his career, he was the senior executive responsible for strategy and impact investing at the Rhode Island Foundation, one of the oldest and largest community foundations in the country. His efforts resulted in over $1 billion of affordable housing and thousands of new, local jobs. Ari is co-founder of Young Invincibles, a national nonprofit focused on delivering economic opportunity to young adults.
He was a fellow at the Beeck Center for Social Impact and Innovation at Georgetown University. He graduated cum laude and as a Public Interest Law Scholar from Georgetown University Law Center, and is a magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Brown University. He lives with his wife, two daughters and dog in Southern California. Ari is proudly from Wisconsin. His family owns two shares of stock in the nonprofit Green Bay Packers, making him a part-owner of an NFL franchise.
